In her last post ‘2013: The Year of Lighter Colors and Naturally Chic’ Annalisa shared some serene color schemes that were gorgeous. However, two colors from Pantone’s Spring 2013 palette are making me crave color in my home and my closet!
The first one is Emerald. Emerald is Pantone’s official Color of the Year for 2013. It takes reins from 2012’s spirited Tangerine Tango. While I plan to keep some of my Tangerine Tango accents, I love that Emerald works for a variety of decors including casual and traditional, and I’ll be on the lookout for a range of greens including emerald, mint and kelly green this spring and summer.
Another tempting color is Mykonos (Monaco) Blue. Mykonos Blue is also prominently featured on Pantone’s color palette. It is a nautical color that lies between navy and cobalt goes swimmingly in contemporary applications. Blue always looks amazing when paired with white, but also very striking with lime green, sunburst yellow, and coral.
Below you’ll see that Jamie Drake does an excellent job coordinating Mykonos Blue with varying shades of green.
Other popular colors this spring include Grayed Jade, Linen, Poppy Red, Violet, Lemon, and Nectarine. Check out our Pinterest board and let us know which colors YOU crave!
